There's no better base than azjure to experience Queensland's premier wine region. azjure is simply surrounded by top wineries - just take an easy walk or drive down Sundown Rd. What's more, the spa studios and the Villa look out across the Ballandean valley to Sirromet's St Jude vineyard as well as Cody's and Smith's vineyards. And of course right by the studios, and around the Villa, is azjure's own piece of Queensland wine history - the oldest Pinot Noir vineyard in the state, which produces our very own azjure Reserve Pinot Noir.

So you'll have total privacy during your stay, we've dispensed with formal check-in and check-out. With our new digital check-in and check-out we'll confirm your booking by email, then the day before you arrive we'll text the code for the key box to your mobile. Just let yourselves in and relax, knowing your stay will be completely undisturbed. On check-out just leave the key and go - if you've used anything from the mini-bar we'll charge your credit card and text your mobile to let you know.

It's the perfect base for experience the best of the Granite Belt's food and wine offerings. Four of the region's top wineries are within easy walking distance, and many more are just a short drive away. The Granite Belt's top three restaurants and the region's best tavern are all close by in Ballandean.

For nature lovers the area's great National Parks are less than 10 minutes away, and cyclists will enjoy the beautiful country roads around azjure.

And to top it off, Stanthorpe township is only 10 minutes away if you need to stock up on provisions. But once you're here, you won't want to leave!

Welcome to azjure studio retreat

azjure studio retreat is located on Sundown Road in the Ballandean valley, a charming area full of vineyards and beautiful views. Ballandean is, located about 2.75 hours south-west of Brisbane and 10 minutes south of Stanthorpe township via the New England highway.

Driving South from Brisbane
Head west towards Ipswich, taking the Cunningham Highway turnoff just before Ipswich. Stay on the Cunningham Highway to Warwick, then follow the signs to Stanthorpe/Sydney. Just before Stanthorpe take the bypass, staying on the New England Highway, until you reach Ballandean.
Turn right into Curr Road by the Ballandean Soccer Field then turn left at Sundown Road. Stay on Sundown Road for about one minute till you reach the entry to azjure on the left - look for the "azjure" signs. Turn left off Sundown Road into the driveway and travel up the gentle hill for about 800 metres till you reach azjure. When you stop, be sure to turn around and look back over the beautiful view - it makes even the longest trip worthwhile!

Driving North from Sydney
Head north on the New England Highway, past Tamworth, Glen Innes and Tenterfield. Stay on the New England Highway until you reach Ballandean (approx. 20 mins north of Tenterfield). Turn left into Curr Road at the Ballandean Soccer Field then turn left at Sundown Road.
Stay on Sundown Road for about one minute till you reach the entry to azjure on the left - look for the "azjure" signs. Turn left off Sundown Road into the driveway and travel up the gentle hill for about 800 metres till you reach azjure. When you stop, be sure to turn around and look back over the beautiful view - it makes even the longest trip worthwhile!
